IYONIX offers at Wakefield

Posted by Andrew Duffell on 17:35, 18/5/2005 | , , , , ,

iyonixpCastle have emailed with news of some tempting offers they will have on the IYONIX PC range at the Wakefield Show.

A new version of the IYONIX will be released with "a top quality Dual Layer, 16 speed, DVD burner". The new IYONIX will be able to burn 4.2GB data DVDs with CDVDBurn, and soon this will be upgraded to 8.5GB DVDs.
Existing IYONIX owners can upgrade for a as yet unconfirmed price at the show and will receive full fitting instructions and cables as well as CDVDBurn and a top of the range Dual Layer 16 speed DVD drive

Castle will also be selling a new "27inch LCD wide screen monitor for IYONIX PCs" which has a integrated "TV tuner, with teletext, and includes integrated stereo speakers". As with the new DVD IYONIX, the price is still unconfirmed.

Their final offer is a continuation of the 350 pound cash back on all IYONIX PCs which will last until the close of the show on Sunday.

So how do you read DVDs on the Iyonix after burning them? Is software from the Aemulor team at work here?

I suppose we'll have to wait for the show unless someone can shed some light on this.

RISC OS Select/Adjust read DVDs IIRC, so I assume the problem will be solved when the IYONIX gets Select... Unless Castle have something else up their sleeves.
